History
Zoo was founded in 1934 as the Duisburg -Hamborner zoo in Duisburg Kaiser Mountain. As early as 1936, the zoo began with a first (borrowed) elephants increase. Dolphinarium

Equatorium

From Duisburg's main train station take tram line 901 towards Mülheim or Zoo / Uniand get off at Zoo / Uni.
Travel time: about 4 minutes
By car: From all directions on the A 3 / A 40 to the junction Duisburg-Kaiser mountain,exit Duisburg-Kaiser mountain, the zoo is located at the exit, the zoo-parking signs.

The zoo is open daily throughout the year at 9.00 clock and you can extend your walkuntil dusk.After the ticket office you can leave the yard without any problems via hubs.
The main entrance to the Mülheim road is open every day. The side entrance TigerFund (Carl-Benz-Strasse) is open daily in summer, in winter only on Sundays and public holidays.
Delphi demonstrations are held several times a day. In the summer, at least three times a day, twice a day in winter. Please note the current figurehead of the times atcheckouts.
Our animal houses close at 18.30 clock in summer and winter clock at 16.00.
