Dukes Nose Rain Treck.

Dukes Nose near khandala, India is a huge pinnacle very obvious while traveling between mumbai and pune. It's shape is like a nose or a thumb. The sights from top are unique and magnificent as one sees a vast landscape and the winding mumbai pune expressway cutting through the ghats and trains chugging along the tracks. Dukes Nose trek starts from khandala station itself and a nice 3-4 hour trek takes you to the top where a simple temple exists. Its a famous for rock climbing and valley crossing activites. Besides its unusual structure, the Duke’s Nose is a crowd puller also because of the spectacular waterfalls that fall off from different points of the mountain. The view of the rain water gushing down this 800 foot structure and falling deep into the green valley below sure makes for one breathtaking sight. The Duke's Nose is an important travel attraction at Khandala famous for rock climbing. It has been named after Duke Wellington, it is said that his nose resembled this cliff.
